Sheridan HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team will face their biggest test of the season today, as the team visits Campbell County in a matchup of undefeated vs. undefeated.

Since Gillette split into 2 schools, the Camels have yet to beat the Broncs in 8 tries.

Sheridan Head Coach Jeff Mowry says Campbell County appears to be back to where they were and their main threat is quarterback Coulter Lang who can almost do it all.

On the topic of the Camels’ defense, there’s some big players up front, and Coach Mowry says the potential is there to give the Broncs’ running game some problems.

Sheridan will secure the #1 seed for the 4A playoffs with a win.

Kickoff from Campbell County is scheduled for 6pm.

Big Horn at Tongue River Football – Thunder Bowl 2025: While Sheridan plays on the road, the other 2 Sheridan County teams will duke it out against each other in this year’s Thunder Bowl.

Big Horn and Tongue River will meet in Dayton for county bragging rights.

The Rams can lock up the East #1 seed for the 2A playoffs with a win, while the Eagles need a win and a lot of help to qualify for the post season. 

BH Head Coach Kirk McLaughlin says while TR may not have much to lose, his boys are not going to take the opposition lightly.

TR picked up their first win of the season last week.

Head Coach Steve Hanson says looking at their rivals, he sees that Big Horn does a good job of doing the simple things.

Kickoff from Dayton is scheduled for 6pm.


Johnson County HS Football: Both Johnson County teams are on the road this weekend.

Buffalo plays at Douglas today starting at 7pm.

Kaycee plays tomorrow at Hulett starting at 6.

The Red Devils recently installed lights at their field a few weeks ago.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Tongue River pulled off a big surprise last night, winning at Big Horn 3-2.

For the Lady Eagles, it’s their first win against their rivals in 4 years.

TR has this weekend off from competition, while BH is back in action today at Wright and tomorrow at home vs. Moorcroft.

Meanwhile, Sheridan is on the road for a pair of 4A East Conference games.

The Lady Broncs are scheduled to play today at Laramie and tomorrow at Cheyenne South.

Arvada-Clearmont won their home finale yesterday 3-1 against the Buffalo JV team.

The Lady Panthers play again today at Kaycee.

Buffalo plays their lone game of the week today at Glenrock.

Kaycee is at home vs. A-C and are scheduled to play tomorrow at Hulett.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: There are 2 races left in the season and Sheridan County is hosting a pair of them today, to see which runners are the best in the East.

Tongue River is hosting the Powder River Conference meet behind the high school.

The varsity girls race is scheduled to begin at 11am and the boys varsity race at 11:45.

Sheridan is hosting the 4A East Conference meet at the VA Medical Facility.

Varsity race times are at 1 and 1:30pm.

Buffalo ran in the 3A East Conference meet yesterday at Newcastle.

Ethan Rayo and Jace Townsend finished 1st and 3rd respectively in the boys race, while Maya Hall, Ellie Ferris and Hadlee Carter finished 2nd, 5th and 6th respectively for the girls.

In the team standings, the Bison and Lady Bison each placed 1st.

The state meet is one week from tomorrow at Cheyenne.


Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan is scheduled to compete today and tomorrow at Laramie, while Buffalo is at a 1-day competition today at Powell.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: It will be a first place battle today and tomorrow as the Sheridan Hawks host 2-time Frontier Division champ Helena.

The puck drops in both games at 7:30pm.


University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys play their first Mountain West Conference road game tomorrow against Air Force.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.


University of Wyoming Men’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys will play their lone exhibition game of the season tomorrow against Northern Colorado.

The game will be played at the Pronghorn Center in Gillette.

Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm.

Northern Colorado is coached by former Sheridan College Head Coach Steve Smiley.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos are back at home on Sunday as the team hosts the New York Giants.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05pm, and you can hear that game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at Columbus 4-1.

The Avs are back at home tomorrow to take on Boston.


Major League Baseball Playoffs: The LA Dodgers won at home last night vs. Milwaukee 3-1, to take a 3-zip lead in their best of 7 National League Championship Series.

The Dodgers will go for the sweep today, while the Brewers have to win 4 in a row to advance to the World Series.

In the American League Championship Series, Toronto won Game 4 last night at Seattle 8-2, to tie the series at 2 games each.

So far, the visiting team has won every game.

The Blue Jays and Mariners will meet in Game 5 today at Seattle.

Tomorrow is an off-day.

Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday at Toronto.
