WY HS State Soccer Tournament: The Soccer State Tournament starts today in Gillette.
The undefeated Sheridan Girls are looking for only their second state title in school history.
Their only championship win was in 1993.
In order to be the champs, first they have to beat the champs, and that’s what they have in the first game of the day today.

Meanwhile the Sheridan boys are also looking for their second title in school history.

In the 3A ranks, the season for the Buffalo boys got off to a bumpy start, but have since recovered.
The Bison are 9-5 on the season, with a 9-1 record in the 3A East.
That put them in a first place tie with Torrington, and Buffalo won the tie-breaker by way of allowing fewer goals in conference games.
Of their 9 wins, 8 of them were by shutout.
Head Coach Dick Edgcomb says part of the credit goes to the defensive unit, but part of it also goes to the offense as well, who have been ball hogs to some degree.
The Buffalo boys are scheduled to play at 11am today vs. Powell.
The Buffalo girls will take on Cody at 2pm.
