Sheridan County High School Football: It may be a chilly and wet night, but the Energy and Thunder Bowl football games are a go for tonight in Sheridan County.

Sheridan will host Campbell County beginning at 6pm.

It’s 7-0 vs. 7-0, it’s homecoming and the band will perform at halftime.

If the Broncs win, they will secure the #1 seed for the upcoming 4A playoffs.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.

Shane Parker will also have the LIVE radio play-by-play on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Not far away, Tongue River and Big Horn will renew their rivalry in Ram Country.

Kickoff for the game is also scheduled for 6pm.

If BH wins, they will secure the #1 seed out of the East for the 2A playoffs.

TR has already been eliminated from playoff contention, but would love nothing more than to play spoiler.


Sheridan County HS Volleyball: Sheridan is back on the court today and tomorrow for a pair of home conference games.

The Lady Broncs host defending 4A State Champ Laramie at 5pm, and will host Cheyenne South tomorrow at 12-noon.

Last night, Big Horn swept Tongue River at home.

The Lady Rams play again today at home vs. Wright starting at 3:30pm and play tomorrow at Moorcroft starting at 1pm.

The Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow at 3A Glenrock starting at 4pm.

As for Arvada-Clearmont, the team lost last night at home vs. the Buffalo JV team 3-2.

The Lady Panthers host Kaycee today at 10am.


Sheridan County HS Cross Country: The 2A East Regional Meet or the Powder River Conference Meet was held yesterday at Hulett.

In the boys race Cameron Guelde of Big Horn placed 2nd and Kade Shideman of Tongue River was 4th.

BH was second in the team standings and TR tied for 3rd.

In the girls race, Lyla Marney of Big Horn won the race and Grace Perkins of Tongue River was 2nd.

BH and TR finished 1st and 2nd in the team standings.

Sheridan will compete at the 4A East Meet today in Cheyenne.

The State Meet is scheduled to be held 1 week from tomorrow.


Sheridan HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan will compete today and tomorrow at the Cheyenne East Pre-Invite and the Cheyenne East Invitational.

Competition starts today at 4pm and tomorrow at 8am.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are on the road today and tomorrow against Butte.

The puck drops for both games at 7:30pm.

The Hawks are back at home next weekend vs. Rapid City.


Sheridan College Rodeo: Sheridan College will compete this weekend in Lamar, Colorado.

This weekend marks the end of the fall portion of the schedule and the halfway point of the 2024-25 college rodeo season.

Points earned carry over the winter break.

The season will resume in mid-March.


University Of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys are back in action tomorrow at San Jose State.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos won last night in the Thursday night game at New Orleans 33-10.

Quarterback Bo Nix was 16 of 26 passing for 164 yards.

He also ran 10 times for 75 yards.

Javonta Williams had 2 rushing touchdowns, Will Lutz kicked 4 field goals, including a 52-yarder, and the defense got in on the act as Cody Barton had a 52 yard scoop and score.

The D also had 6 sacks in the game.

Denver is now 4-3 on the season and next play 1 week from this coming Sunday at home vs. Carolina.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost at home Wednesday vs. Boston 5-3, to drop to 0-4 on the season, and are 1 of only 3 teams that have yet to win a game.

The Avs will try again tonight at home vs. Anaheim starting at 7 o’clock.


Denver Nuggets Pre-Season Basketball: The Denver Nuggets closed out the pre-season portion of their schedule last night with a 132-126 win at Minnesota.

The 2024-25 regular season for the Nuggets starts next week Thursday at home vs. Oklahoma City.


Major League Baseball Playoffs: Jhonkensy Noel hit a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 9th to tie the score and then David Fry hit a walk off 2-run blast in the bottom of the 10th, to help the Cleveland Guardians win at home vs. the New York Yankees yesterday 7-5, in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series.

The Yankees still lead the series 2-games-to-1.

Game 4 is today at Cleveland.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:08pm.

In the National League Championship Series last night, the LA Dodgers blew out the New York Mets 10-2 in game 4 at New York and now lead their series 3-games-to-1.

Game 5 is today starting at 3:08pm.

If the Dodgers win, they will advance to the World Series.

If the Mets win, that would force a game 6, which would be played on Sunday at LA.
