Sheridan County High School Volleyball Recap: September 1-3, 2022

Sheridan and Big Horn competed at the Gillette Invitational, Tongue River was at the Greybull Invitational, and Arvada-Clearmont was on the road for a couple of games.

Sheridan:

The Lady Broncs went 2-4 at the Gillette Invitational, placing 4th in the bronze bracket.

On Friday (September 2nd), Sheridan lost vs. 2A Wright 2-0 (25-8, 26-24), won vs. Scottsbluff, NE 2-0 (25-17, 25-17) and lost vs. 2A Burns 2-0 (25-14, 25-22).

On Saturday (September 3rd), the Lady Broncs defeated Cheyenne South 2-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-23), lost vs. 3A Wheatland 2-0 (25-18, 25-10) and lost vs. 3A Newcastle 2-0 (25-14, 25-22).

Sheridan is 5-7 on the 2022 season.

The next scheduled match is the home opener on Friday, September 9th vs. Natrona, which is also the start of conference play.

Then on Saturday, September 10th, the Lady Broncs are scheduled to play at Cody.

Big Horn:

The Lady Rams went 4-2 at the Gillette Invitational, placing 4th in the gold bracket.

On Friday (September 2nd), Big Horn defeated 4A Natrona 2-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-20), Spearfish, SD 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 25-13) and 3A Glenrock 2-0 (25-20, 25-19).

On Saturday (September 3rd), BH defeated 4A Cheyenne Central 2-0 (26-24, 25-21), lost vs. 4A Natrona 2-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-15), and lost vs. Scottsbluff, NE 2-0 (25-15, 25-12).

The Lady Rams are now 9-3 on the 2022 season.

Up next is the Big Horn Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th.

Tongue River:

The Lady Eagles went 2-3 at the Greybull Invitational.

On Friday (September 2nd), TR defeated Greybull 2-1 (25-23, 18-25, 15-7), and Wind River 2-0 (25-8, 25-15), then lost to Kemmerer 2-0 (25-24, 25-24).

On Saturday (September 3rd), Tongue River lost to Rocky Mountain 2-0 (25-21 25-17) and Shoshoni 2-0 (21-25, 25-13, 15-7).

The Lady Eagles are 6-3-1 on the 2022 season.

The next scheduled matches for TR are at the Big Horn Invitational on Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th.

Arvada-Clearmont:

The Lady Panthers were on the road back on Thursday (September 1st), against 1A Northeast conference opponent Upton.

A-C lost the match 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-12).

On Saturday September 3rd, they lost to Rock River 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-11)

The Lady Panthers are 1-2 on the 2022 season (1-1 in the 1A Northeast).

The next scheduled match is on Thursday, September 8th at home vs. Buffalo JV.
