Tahnee Robinson To Be Inducted Into Univ. of Nevada Athletic Hall Of Fame

A former Sheridan College Lady General who led the nation in junior college scoring, will have her name remembered at the university where she finished her collegiate basketball career.

Tahnee Robinson will soon be inducted into the University of Nevada Wolf Pack Athletic Hall Of Fame.

She was a 2006 McDonald’s All-American at Lander Valley High School, and was briefly a member of the University of Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball Team.

After leaving the school to become a mother, she transferred to Sheridan College where she led the Lady Generals to the Region 9 Championship in 2009 and the teams’ first ever appearance in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament, and led the NJCAA averaging nearly 30 points per game.

She graduated Sheridan College with an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies.

Afterwards she joined the women’s basketball team at the University of Nevada, and was in the top 15 in the nation scoring wise as a senior in the 2010-2011 season.

Later in 2011, she became the first full blooded Native American woman to be drafted into the WNBA, but ended up playing professional basketball for 4 years overseas.

She is currently the director of player development for the University of Nevada women’s basketball program, and is the national spokesperson for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
