Gail Eileen Greaves was born on January 12, 1950, in Seattle, Washington to William and Amelia Monteith.  She grew up going to school in Washington State and graduated from Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington with the class of 1968 where she sang in the choir. She was married on February 7, 1970, to Lee Greaves and they made their home in Eastern Washington where Gail was a homemaker and Lee worked for the Bureau of Reclamation.  In April of 1985, they transferred with BLM to Buffalo, Wyoming where they continued to live until her death.

Gail was the most loving person, who taught love and compassion to her children and embedded the importance of family into all of them.  She was the glue that held the family together.  She was warm, bubbly, and always had a smile.  Gail was an excellent singer and the music flowed easily through her.  Because it was time for Gail’s journey to end, the love, light, and joy she brought will be terribly missed. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Lee Greaves of Buffalo; one son Andrew Greaves of Sheridan, Wyoming; three daughters, Jill Theofelis of Seattle, Washington, Amelia Straub and her husband Robert of Wauneta, Nebraska and Heather Greaves and her husband Donald of Palisade, Nebraska; one brother Michael Monteith and his wife Barb of Kittitas, Washington; one sister Pegi Alberts of Salem, Oregon; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Christine, and one grandson, Dalton Greaves.
