Paralee June McCormick, a beacon of enduring strength and joy, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 87 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Born on July 6, 1938, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Jack Lane and LeahBelle Bertha Head, she was the eldest of four siblings: Margaret, Jack, and Bill, all of whom preceded her in death.

After graduating from Union City High School, Paralee married Jack McCormick in 1956 and began their family. Her hardworking nature and caring personality led her to various roles, including positions in healthcare, which highlighted her nurturing spirit. She also brought smiles to many as a cast member at Disney World, where her joy became part of the magical experiences she helped create for countless visitors.

Paralee found her greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved country and western music, often performed by her husband, and the melodies served as the soundtrack to many family gatherings. Her dedication to her family was evident, as she never missed an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren at their sports and school events. Her presence was a constant source of encouragement and pride.

An avid reader, Paralee’s passion for stories was momentarily dimmed by macular degeneration. However, her indomitable spirit led her to the Utah State Library for the Blind, where she rediscovered her love for literature through audiobooks. This new chapter allowed her to continue exploring the vast worlds within the pages she could no longer see.

Known for her love of television, Paralee could often be found cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Michigan Wolverines and the Denver Broncos, or getting caught up in the latest plot twists of her beloved soap operas and challenging herself with the puzzles on the Game Show Network.

While her husband, Jack, predeceased her, Paralee’s legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her sons Tony, Mickey (Pat), and Gary (Linda); daughters LaDonna (Terry) and Melissia (Chris); seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of her enduring love and tenacity. She is also survived by many extended family members.

Paralee will be remembered for the countless moments of joy and laughter she brought into the world, and her spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of her family’s hearts. Her life was a story of perseverance and love, and though she has left this earthly realm, her faith in Jesus assured her of a heavenly home, where she is now at peace. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Per her request, there will be no service. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
