Sharon Cunningham

Sharon Elaine Cunningham, 75, of Banner, WY, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Newton, KS, on November 8, 1949, to Edward and LaVerne Adler.

She grew up in Newton, KS, on the family farm. The Adler family moved to the Banner, WY area in 1954 and eventually moved to Sheridan not long after.

She attended Big Horn and Sheridan High Schools and, after graduation, worked for several local firms over the years, holding various positions that centered on accounting work. Sharon married Jim Teichert in November 1974. They had two children, Jay and Casey Teichert.

Sharon was married to Dale Cunningham in September 1989. They were married for 36 years before her passing. They lived in Banner, where she enjoyed gardening, western embroidery and decorating, and crafting. For the past 20+ years, she and Dale enjoyed going to Arizona in the winter. She loved to collect and wear Native American jewelry.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dale, her two brothers, Bill Adler and Gary Adler, her children, Jay Teichert and Casey Teichert (Catherine), her granddaughter, Taylor Nell Teichert. Her nephews and nieces, Kristen Adler and Jesse Adler, and Burton Adler. Her stepsons, Cody Cunningham (Marcy) and Casey Cunningham (Jesse). Her step-grandchildren Cashlee Cates (Chantz), Cricket Matt (Tryston), Delaney Cunningham and Bailey Cunningham. Her great step-grandchildren, Carsyn, Corbyn, and Casyn Cates. Three-step siblings, Janice Scott, Curt Laird, Russell Laird. She loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ed (2019) and LaVerne (1984) Adler, and her stepmother, Joyce Adler (2012).

She will be missed greatly by her family. There are no services planned at this time.
