Jamie Zarid Chapman, 39, resident of Sheridan, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in a motorcycle accident in Sheridan, WY.

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved beautiful goofy boy, our prodigal son Jamie Zarid Chapman.

We will forever remember him as a lover of video and strategy gaming, musically talented, an exceptionally talented artist, charismatic, lover of animals large and small and goofy as hell.

He traveled the US making friends wherever he went with his contagious personality and always being authentic to the core.

Despite stumbles along the way, Jamie found the path to sobriety and our Lord Jesus Christ with the help of the VOA and friends to whom we will forever be grateful.

We are so very proud of him and all that he accomplished. While we could feel cheated that we don’t get to see how far he could have gone, we trust in God’s promise that we will see him again.

For any of his friends struggling with sobriety or mental health, please stay the course in remembrance of him. Be a beacon!

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Jamies leaves behind his 4 beautiful children Zaya, Wyatt, Videl and Thomas, parents Julie Crume, Craig Chapman and Jamie Dutton, siblings Jeremy, Joshua, Christian, Cameron, Kylee and Sydnee. Numerous aunts and uncles. Grandmothers Barbara Dyson & Jan Azbarea.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joella Penfield & Luther Penfield, uncles Danny Turner, Randy Copas and Dave Chapman.

A Remembrance Service will be Friday, October 3, 2025, 10:00 A.M. at Illuminate Church, 38 S. Main St., Sheridan, WY 82801.

Donations to assist with final expenses are being accepted at the Pony Bar & Grill in Sheridan, WY.  Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
