“Charlie “Chuck” Ryan Kessler, age 41, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 29, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma, also known as bile duct cancer. He did not lose his battle—his body simply could no longer keep up with his unyielding fighting spirit. Charlie faced every day with unwavering strength and grace until his very last breath. He was a true warrior, and his faith, love, and spirit touched all who knew him.

Charlie was born on April 11, 1984, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Melonie Kessler. He later moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, where he made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. From a young age, Charlie embraced his role as a big brother, and he was the very best to his siblings, Erika and TC. His love, protection, and loyalty to them never wavered.

In the summer of 2009, Charlie met Victoria Rodriguez while they were both working at Sandford’s Grub and Pub. For Charlie, it was love at first sight, and he pursued her with determination. They had never spoken before, and his bold pick-up line was, “I think we’ve known each other long enough that a girl like me and a guy like you should go on a date.” Victoria’s response was a firm, “How about not?” But Charlie never gave up. His charm eventually worked, and the rest was history.

When Charlie met Victoria, she already had a daughter, Anistyn, whom he welcomed with open arms. He raised her as his own, and the bond they shared was inseparable—a true reflection of Charlie’s selfless love and devotion. In the summer of 2012, Charlie and Victoria welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Urijah, who completed their family and brought even more joy and love into their lives. Anistyn and Urijah were Charlie’s pride and joy, the light of his life, and he poured his whole heart into being their dad.

Their love story was something out of a fairytale, and many have said the bond they shared was once-in-a-lifetime—the kind of love most only hope to find. They spent 17 beautiful and cherished years together, creating a life full of love, laughter, and memories that will last forever.

At the time of his passing, Charlie was employed at Bighorn Beverage, where he formed many lifelong friendships. He enjoyed traveling for work and cherished the connections he made along the way. He also worked at CAP Silver as a silversmith, where he discovered a passion for creating jewelry.

Charlie’s love for cooking—especially barbecue—was one of his greatest passions. He found joy in preparing meals and loved nothing more than cooking for family and friends. His food brought people together, and his gatherings were always filled with laughter, and love.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Victoria; their children, Anistyn and Urijah; his mother, Melonie Kessler; his sister, Erika Franks; and his brother, TC Arzy. He is also survived by his aunts, Dalreen Kessler, Pam Snyder, April See, and Alisa Berglund; his uncle, Royce Kessler; his cousins, Ann-Erika Whitebird, Ethan Kessler, Aubrey Kessler, and Raina Cain; and his grandmother, Sylvia Brown.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Emilia Longoria; father-in-law, Victor Rodriguez (Jennifer); sisters-in-law, Andrea Rodriguez and Olivia Silva; brothers-in-law, Arnold Silva (Cynthia), Randy Rodriguez, Ronnie Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie is also survived by his best friends, Drew, Joel, Michael, and Neil, who stood by his side through every season of life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glen and Hazel Kessler; his aunts, Helen Patricia Jacobs and Karen Kessler; and his cousin, Shane Oliphant.

Please wear green in love and support of all those battling Bile Duct Cancer.
