City Seeking Grant for Playground Equipment at Black Tooth Park
The playground at Black Tooth Park in Sheridan has been preliminary designed with the Americans With Disabilities Act in mind and the City of Sheridan may soon apply for a grant to help fund the project. The Sheridan City Council next week will be considering a resolution authorizing City Public Works Director Lane Thompson to sign the application for a state grant to fund a portion of the playground project. Thompson says the playground would be inclusive.
Thompson said the project consists of playground pods that will be connected by pathways. He said pathways will connect each of the pods, the restroom facility, and will conform with ADA accessibility and that each of the playground pods has been designed to provide equal opportunities for kids of all ages and disabilities. If the resolution is approved by the council, the City will apply for an MRG grant in the amount of $250,000.

Our city council acts like like a welfare recipient. Hair and nails are professionally done, smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day, has the latest smartphone, but rent is a month behind. Stop spending money on luxury’s, spend on needed things first!!!
