Cheney: ‘Trump’s Recent Comments Make Clear He Would Do This All Again If Given The Chance’

Published

on

Former President Donald Trump, at a rally Saturday night in Conroe, Texas, stated that if he’s reelected in 2024, he would possibly pardon the individuals who’ve been convicted of crimes related to the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney is Vice-Chair of the Select Committee that’s investigating the attack on the Capitol. In an interview on NBC Nightly News, Cheney condemned Trump’s remarks.

Cheney was not the only Republican to take issue with the former president’s remarks, as Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, an ardent Trump supporter, said he didn’t want to reinforce that defiling the Capitol was ok and he didn’t want do anything to make it more likely to happen again in the future.

Yes, you never know when a guy dressed in a Viking out fit is going to overthrow the US government. I kinda thought when a gov cop shoots an unarmed, non violent female tresspasser that might be a crime.. i guess not under china joes watch…..

Trump rarely tells the truth but when he does, we should listen. The fact of the matter is he is a two-time impeached embittered loser with no new ideas, no concern for this country or his followers. He only desires power and if he has it, he will do anything not to relinquish it.

…Trump is done politically as a viable presidential candidate…he may want to run for office and hope for a win but won’t get the nomination because he’s a divider not a uniter…even threw his own VP under the bus (who served trump well for four years)…unless he aligns with Kristy Noem as his VP running mate he’s done politically…Kristy Noem as a VP might carry Trump right into the oval office…has she ever lost an election?

Mike what about the folks with a noose and hangman’s stand? What do you think they would have done if they caught Mike Pence that day? As for Ashli Babbitt one needs to be held accountable for their actions. Fact of the matter is she had assisted in breaking into the capital and she and her consortium were a clear and present danger that threatened the lives of members of congress and the foundation of our Government- she got what she deserved.

You mean the ones that attacked Jussie Smollett? Trespassing doesn’t warrant the death penalty. Nooses.. how bout the ones with Malakoff cocktails and guns during our summer riots– oh i mean peaceful protest…if u think that is what she deserved you are a seriously pathetic human

You are truly a reprehensible and blindly biased individual. One of the most urgent issues facing this country is justice FOR ALL. Not a subjective measure of justice depending on the popularity of your current classification or the cause you advertise supporting. If the people who broke into the Capital were a BLM “protest” and a white cop shot an unarmed black “protester”, I can say with certainty, they would be brought up on charges. If you are protesting peacefully, no one has the right to kill you. Period. If you are looting, burning buildings and depriving business owners of their livelihood and endangering lives-then you may get shot. And you need to be arrested and go to prison-regardless of race or classification. We have a problem with our government defining what is a acceptable based on how much traction ( read: money/votes) it provides politicians. We need to redefine what we want our SOCIETY to look like and force our government to accurately represent that society. I’m guessing there were a few half-baked ideas prior to the revolution that were well-intended but didn’t come off as planned. Tell your senator, congressman, and any all state/federal elected officials that if they don’t aren’t willing to initiate and support term limit legislation at the state and federal level, they don’t get your vote. That’s a good start.

Your ability to see into the future and articulate the out come is truly amazing. Quick question: is abortion reprehensible? How bout leaving americans to die in Afghanistan? I can safely say that if a white cop had shot an unarmed black protester he/she would have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Look at the 3 fools who killed the unarmed black man in Georgia. OH WOW! I can predict the future too! u wrote a lot and said nothing

Liz just shut up and leave office and Wyoming. You do not represent what the people of Wyoming want. So just go. You have not creditability with Wyoming voters as you will see this next election

Uh, Liz, I think this is what the GOP is. Can’t trust the GOP with a democracy anymore. GOP is following the most charismatic monkey and thumping their chests in support – its the party that will do anything to stay in power, deride and threaten anyone who doesn’t chant with them. Its how humans usually organize themselves . . . except for brief periods of democratic experiments?

Meanwhile AG garland, at the behest of biden and the teachers unions, sent the FBI to arrest parents who voiced their concerns at school board meetings over policies they were against. Is that the “democracy” that youre proud of denny?

Cheney is not going to stop this nonsense. She’s using it as fund raising from some very powerful and deep-pocketed D.C. swamp rats. If you want an excellent summary of her actions, I would refer you to Mr. John Hoak’s letter to the editor of the Cowboy State Daily published therein on January 25th. I suspect he is one of many, many Wyomingites who have broken Liz’s code. Very interesting recitation of the facts. I highly recommend it to everyone.

If given the chance, would people have voted for you in 2020, liz, if they knew who you really were? Political prisoners because they entered the open doors of the US capitol in an orderly manner to take selfies while carrying flags. When did the US become a fascist dictatorship?
