A Trailblazing Gift

In July, the Sheridan Community Land Trust held an open house for their newly finished “Hidden Hoot” trail just west of Sheridan.
The event doubled as a stage for the announcement of a partnership between the Land Trust and Emit Technologies that’s intended to help the Land Trust expand their trail system throughout Sheridan County. Emit purchased and donated a mini excavator, trailer, and tools to the Land Trust to help their cause of building new trails and expanding on current trials. Land Trust Director of Marketing and Development Chris Vrba says that the donation allowed for the addition of a trail builder.
The Sheridan City Council recently approved a funding request from the Land Trust in the amount of $4,880 that will allow for the connection of the “Hidden Hoot Trail” to the “Soldier Ridge Trail” west of Sheridan.
