Aaron PalmerBuffalo City Fire Chief Gomer Gammon will be submitting a grant application to help fund the purchase of a new fire engine, after the city council approved him to do so.
New Councilman John Camino asked for more information about the grant and the need for replacing the existing engine, and Councilman Scott Madsen and Gammon explained further.
The $450,000 grant, if awarded to the city, would fund the replacement of the city’s 36-year old fire engine, and would require a 5% local match from the city, or $22,500.
