Pat BlairThree additional deaths were reported this week to Campbell County Public Health, bringing the COVID-19 related death count in Campbell County to 10.
According to a release from Campbell County Public Health, the three recent deaths included an older male hospitalized out of town, an older adult female who wasn’t hospitalized, and an older adult male who was hospitalized in Campbell County.
All three had health conditions recognized as putting patients at higher risks of serious illness related to COVID-19.
According to the release, since mid-September, lab-confirmed COVID cases have increased steeply in Campbell County as they have across the state. The 14-day average of new daily lab-confirmed cases in Campbell County is over 50, and the positivity rate is slightly over 34 percent.
Campbell County Memorial Hospital has reported 13 current COVID-related hospitalizations.
