City Council Hears Concerns Over Bikes on Sidewalks Downtown

A concerned resident has approached the Buffalo City Council to voice concerns over bikes of all kinds being driven on sidewalks downtown.

Jackie Masterson explained further.

According to discussion, there were at one time, signs stating bicycles should not be ridden on sidewalks, but they have been taken down, needing to be repainted.

Police Chief Sean Bissett explained the problem with enforcement on electric bikes.

Bissett said he can have extra patrols in the downtown area to try to alleviate the problem.
