A Look Back in Time: Sept. 24, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 24, 1920.

Figures released by Claude L. Draper, chairman of the state board of equalization, show the assessed valuation of property in the state is almost half a billion dollars. Sheridan is fourth among the state’s counties, with a total valuation of just under $30 million.

Westernman Bros. “Great Toyland Shows” will be in Sheridan Sunday for the American Legion Benefit Week.

F. G. Payne of Buffalo drove to Sheridan yesterday. He’s meeting acquaintances here today.

All members of committees that served in welcoming visitors to the camping grounds at Pioneer park this summer met at noon today. Over 1,000 tourists visited the camping grounds this summer.
