Rural Health to Look Into Medical Director Agreement

The Johnson County Rural Health Care District Board reviewed and discussed a contract for the County Medical Director.
Currently, the district has a verbal agreement with Dr. Mark Schueler for those services, but the district’s auditors would like to have a written contract, according to discussions at their recent meeting.
Board Chair Marilyn Connolly explains further.
According to meeting minutes from 2019, Dr. Schueler, as the Medical Director, certifies that EMT’s are properly trained, acts as an advocate and liaison between the ambulance service and the Wyoming Office of EMS, and approves protocols for the service.
The board will have their attorney Barry Crago review the draft agreement and have it ready for the board and Dr. Schueler to sign at their next meeting in October.
