Sheridan Police promote bike safety
As children take to the roads and sidewalks this summer, the Sheridan Police Department is asking residents to keep an eye open for children biking in the area.
Sheridan PD Lieutenant Travis Koltiska has asked residents to be aware of the increase of bike riders and children as they commute.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Koltiska encouraged the use of bike helmets and told listeners that a few Sheridan businesses have contributed to the cause.
Koltiska went on to say that the PD will accept new bike helmet donations by dropping them off at the station or by giving them to a patrolling officer.
