Shada said currently sandhill cranes have chosen the area around Fort Phil Kearny as a nesting location but many species of small and larger birds call the area home and experts will be on hand to help identify them.

The Bird Walk will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday June 7. Shada asks that participants meet at the Interpretive Center. There is a $4 per adult and kids are free.
