Buffalo Council Passes 2026-27 Budget on First Reading

Buffalo’s City Council considered Resolution No. 1426, setting the budget for FY 2026-27.

Mayor Shane Schrader gave details in the proposed budget.

Schrader said the city’s Capital Improvements budget for the FY is nearly $8.4 million.

The council passed the Resolution on first reading.

City of Buffalo proposed Budget:

General City $721,910

Protective Services $2,710,040

Streets $1,437,630

Recreation $597,790

Water $1,861,900

Wastewater $901,065

Sanitation $699,790

Misc. Equipment $164,000

Capital Improvements $8,388,696

Outside Agencies and City Affiliates $419,377

Total Appropriation $17,902,198
