Sheridan Man Arraigned for Aggravated Assault and Battery
A Sheridan man was recently arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court for the charge of aggravated assault and battery. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
On March 11, 2026, the Sheridan Police Department responded to a report of a man threatening another man with a large kitchen knife at a residence on Clarendon Avenue. After assessing the scene and speaking with several eye witnesses to the alleged crime, 45-year-old Richard Eutsler was placed under arrest by law enforcement for threatening another individual with a knife.
At a recent arraignment hearing in Fourth Judicial District Court, Eutsler pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated assault and battery. District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a two-day jury trial to begin October 14. A pretrial conference was set for September 10 at 9 am. Eutsler’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. Aggravated assault and battery is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000, or any combination of both.
