Sheridan City/County Leaders Discuss West Beltway, Truck Routes

Sheridan City Council members and Sheridan County Commission members had a joint meeting this week to discuss issues affecting both governmental agencies.

Sheridan County Commissioner Lonnie Wright attended the meeting, and talks about one item they discussed, the West Beltway system.

The next item was a discussion on possible truck routes through the city.

Wright said to get a truck route, the city council must pass an Ordinance to designate a truck route, and he said they may want to work with trucking companies to help find the best possible routes through the city.

A number of other topics were discussed, with no decisions made, and we will have more from the meeting in upcoming stories.
