SAGE to Host Artist Talk with “Black & White” Creator

SAGE Community Arts has announced they will host an artist talk with Monica Fransiscus from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at 21 W. Brundage St. 

Fransiscus is the creator of Black & White, the tower of repurposed car bumpers currently on display in downtown Sheridan. 

During the event, she will discuss her creative process, the environmental themes behind her work and the role of public art in sparking community dialogue. The event is free and open to the public.

The sculpture created some controversy when Sheridan City Councilman Steve Brantz made comments regarding the piece during an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse. Find that story here

    this isnt art………… not sure what it is, what it cost, or why it is on display………. JUNK

    Not appealing and doesn’t portray a Sheridan image that is appealing.
