Blain Deahl from Veteran’s Village made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to talk about the upcoming Annual Ruck Race.

Veterans Village  – Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard Space Force (AMNACS) is raising funds to build a development community consisting of 50 individual homes for homeless veterans in Sheridan County, with the vision to be a physically, mentally and socially safe, independent living environment supporting veterans.

Those wishing to compete can choose between light or heavy weight in their ruck as they traverse 5 or 120 miles on some of Sheridan Community Land Trust’s trails.

Scaling back the development this year, the 501c3 is hoping to raise enough funds to complete five small homes in the near future.

Deahl’s responsibility for the organization included physically finding the homeless veterans that reside here in the City of Sheridan. So far, he’s found 107.
