Buffalo Resident Asks Council for Dog Park

A resident of Buffalo has approached the city council to ask the city to re-visit building a dog park on city-owned lands.
Jake Kennedy explained his want for the dog park and why it may be beneficial to the city.
Possible locations he discussed were in Washington Park near Duffy’s Bluff, and the land near the YMCA.
The council said other residents have approached them asking for a dog park, so the city has been considering building one.
Kennedy asked what the next step in the process would be for him and/or the council to work toward making a dog park happen.
Mayor Shane Schrader said it would take further discussion between the council and various city department heads and then work it into the city’s budgeting process.
Kennedy asked the mayor to keep him updated on the progress.
