State Representative Marilyn Connolly (HD-40), in her weekly talk with Sheridan Media from this year’s legislative session, spoke about bills the House will be working through this week.

She said some spirited debate will likely happen on SF0069, Homeowner Property Tax Exemption bill.

Other bills the House passed included one prohibiting foreign adversaries owning land in the state; a medical ethics bill; a canvassing board bill; a rank choice voting bill.

Connolly touched on one topic of discussion that ultimately did not pass the House.

We will have more from our conversation with Representative Connolly in upcoming stories.

A 50% tax cut is a GREAT Idea. There’s no debate needed. We need to stop “worrying” about funding or backfilling the poor old gubmint. They have MORE than enough of our money. In fact they have so much of our money in EXCESS that they waste it on heated sidewalks in un-needed flowerpots like the Brooks street Boondoggle.
It makes no sense to have a beautiful “store-front” downtown “Potemkin Village” when our homes are in need of repair and nobody has any money left after paying taxes to go shopping!
