Chamber will celebrate great works in the community with the Annual Awards of Excellence

Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore and Marketing & Communications Director Jodi Hartley made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite the community to the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce 26th Annual Awards of Excellence.
Nominations were announced in November. The Chamber Board of Directors receives the nominees and the voting to determine the recipients is sent out to entire Chamber membership via on-line ballot. The nominees will be recognized and the recipients will be announced during the program, which is open to everyone.
Each year, Chamber members vote for their favorite nominees in four categories; Community Champion, Strength of Sheridan, Business of the Year and Businessperson(s) of the Year.
The 26th Annual Awards of Excellence celebration will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the WYO Theater, 42 S. Main St. in Sheridan.
Detimore said the awards have changed over the years, but they continue to celebrate people and businesses in Sheridan County that go above and beyond to contribute to the community.
