Ron RichterThe City of Buffalo will be holding a public meeting on Tuesday, October 1, at 5 pm in Council Chambers at City Hall to allow citizens to review and comment on the City’s water tank repair project. The project includes replacing ceiling structural steel and repainting a 600,000 gallon water storage tank, both inside and outside. According to information from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, the City, at the meeting, will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at City Hall.
Based on current cost estimates, the City intends to borrow $600,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Capital improvement reserves will repay the loan. Loan terms will be .75 percent interest rate and 10 years.
