Kinskey Unhappy SF29 Wasn’t Introduced

Among the pieces of legislation that won’t be heard by the 65th Wyoming Legislature in 2020 is Senate File 29 the Optometrist practice act amendments. Local Senator Dave Kinskey was unhappy that the measure did not meet the threshold to be introduced.

Sen. Kinskey

The bill was denied introduction on a vote of 18 in favor, 10 opposed, 1 excused, and 1 conflict. Senator Kinskey and Local Senator Bo Biteman voted with the majority but due to this being a budget session, a ⅔ majority is required for a bill to start the process of becoming a law.

Thank you for supporting this bill. I am retired now and live in Powderhorn. You have met me at some city county meetings. I look forward to talking to you more.
