Treasurer Presents Latest Sales and Use Tax Numbers
City of Sheridan Treasurer Karen Burtis provided the City Council and Mayor Roger Miller with the sales and use tax numbers for December at Tuesday night’s Council meeting. Burtis said the City is 5.4 percent higher than it was last year in December and 4.6 percent higher in the year to date numbers.
Burtis added that if sales and use tax numbers continue on pace, the City would see an increase of $73,000 over and above what they actually budgeted for the current fiscal year, which would end up being additional revenue for the City.
