A trial date has been set for a Sheridan man charged with multiple crimes. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Trial Date Set

An arraignment hearing for 32-year-old Joshua Wall was held recently in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Last month Wall was charged with Felony Strangulation of a Household Member, Misdemeanor Unlawful Contact and Misdemeanor Interference with an Emergency Call. Wall was arrested and charged with the alleged crimes for an incident that occurred at a residence in Sheridan on February 14. While responding to a report of a domestic violence incident, an officer with the Sheridan Police Department learned that Wall had fled the scene in a vehicle. Wall was later located at a mobile home in a trailer court on Coffeen Avenue and was placed under arrest.

Wall, at a hearing in District Court, pleaded “not guilty” to all three of the charges. District Court Judge John Fenn set the three-day jury trial to begin on August 9 and scheduled a pretrial conference for July 15 at 9:30 am. If convicted on all three counts, Wall faces up to 11 years in prison and a fine of more than $11,000.
