Around 350 people throughout Sheridan County will receive home-delivered Thanksgiving meals Thursday courtesy of The Hub on Smith Street.

Carmen Rideout, who’s the Hub’s executive director, said those are the Hub’s regular home-delivered meals recipients, and on Thursday, they will receive traditional meals of turkey and trimmings.

Rideout said in addition to the meal deliveries, the Hub’s Goose Creek Transit will be available for door-to-door service from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will provide fixed-route service from 8 to 11 a.m.

She said besides the shortened hours for the fixed-route service, people will be picked up every hour instead of the every half-hour pickup normally provided.

She said Goose Creek Transit will be back on its regular fixed-route schedule on Friday.
