Sheridan College Men’s Rodeo Team Finished 2nd; Women 6th At 2026 Pat Hamilton Memorial

The Generals men’s team finished the weekend in second place in the region while the women’s team landed in sixth.

Four saddle bronc riders placed in the top ten and Koy McAllister took first place in steer wrestling.

Bareback rider Chaz Dewey was in second place with a 76-point ride after the first go.

He fell to third in the second go with 78 points and finished in a tie for second with an average score of 154.

In the saddle bronc long go, Koy McAllister took third with 75, Christopher Nelson grabbed fourth with 72, Grady Gorwill placed sixth with 69 and Jack Chase landed in eighth place with 69 points.

Nelson rose to third in the short go with 78, while Gorwill maintained his spot after a 66-point ride.

McAllister and Chase had no rides and sank to eighth and tenth place respectively.

All of the riders kept their ranking in the average, with Nelson logging 150 points, Gorwill 135, McAllister 75 and Chase with 67 points.

Tie down roper Wiley Dempewolf place second in the long go with an 11.6-second run.

Dempewolf dropped to seventh in the short go with 15.1 seconds and finished seventh with an average of 26.7 seconds.

Steer wrestler Koy McAllister placed third in the long go with a 7.4-second run, and was followed in sixth place by teammate Brady Meyer, who logged 11.9 seconds.

In the short go McCallister rose to second with another 7.4-second performance, while Meyer dropped to seventh with no score.

McAllister took first place with an average of 14.8 and Meyer landed in seventh with a 111.9-second average.

Sheridan College team ropers took eighth and ninth place in the long go with Tyon Arneson and Bridger Peil turning in an 8.2-second ride, while RyLee Price and Tace Berglund weren’t far behind with an 8.6-second run.

In the short go Price and Berglund rose to fifth place with a 13.1 second run while Arneson and Peil dropped to tenth with no time.

Arneson and Peil remained in tenth place with an average of 108.2 seconds while Price and Berglund finished in fourth place with a 21.7-second average.

On the women’s team, barrel racer Samantha Mai took third in the long go with a 17.83-second ride.

She maintained third place with 17.73 seconds in the short go and landed in fifth overall with an average of 35.56 seconds.

Goat tyer Carlee Miller had a 7.3-second run in the long go, landing her in seventh place.

Teammate Tatum Reid came in just behind her in ninth place with a 7.5-second run.

In the short go, Reid rose to fourth place with a 7.3-second run while Miller suffered a no time which took her to tenth place.

Reid took fifth place in the average with 14.8 and Miller maintained tenth with an average of 107.3.

Breakaway roper Jaycee Lambert took top place in the long go with a 2.4-second run.

Lambert was followed in third and fourth by Blaise Lange with a 3.0-second run and Jacee Anthony with a 3.1-second run.

In the short go, a no time, sent Lambert and Anthony to seventh and tenth places respectively, while Lange fell to sixth with a 12.7-second ride.

The Generals will be on the road again next weekend, October 2-4 at Lamar Community College in Colorado.
