Sheridan VA and Partners to Host Virtual Town Hall
The Sheridan VA Health Care System has partnered with the Veterans Benefits Administration and the National Cemetery Administration to host a live, virtual town hall at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. The VA is encouraging veterans, caregivers, their families and the community to join and learn about a broad spectrum of VA services.
Topics include:
• Caregiver Support Program
• Home-Based Primary Care Program
• Community-based services for home care
• Nursing home care
• Hospice care
• Survivor benefits
• Burial and memorial benefits
According to the VA, at the conclusion of the presentations, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions as time allows.
Many veterans enrolled in the Sheridan VA Health Care System will receive a recorded message notifying them of the event two days before the town hall, then another message when it starts. Those Veterans simply stay on the line to be connected.
For those wishing to participate who don’t receive the call, there are three other options to be connected and participate.
1. By calling 855-962-1472 at 5 p.m. on Sept. 15.

The three administrations that make up the Veterans Administration are as follows:
• VHA (Veterans Health Administration): Provides lifelong medical, rehabilitative, and mental health services to enrolled veterans.
• VBA (Veterans Benefits Administration): Evaluates military records and medical evidence to assign disability ratings and disburse monthly compensation, pension, education, housing benefits and more.
• NCA (National Cemetery Administration): Provides burial and memorial benefits for Veterans and eligible family members.
The VA is also asking the public to please spread the word of this virtual town hall to veterans and their families.
