Pat BlairThe 4-H and FFA horse show continued at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Saturday with showmanship and English horsemanship events.
Three days of horse shows kicked off this year’s Sheridan County Fair, which will continue through Aug. 3. Horse Superintendent Heidi Justus said about 25 youth, mostly 4-H but some FFA members as well, are participating in this year’s horse events.
Justus said that number was down a little from the total number of youth who were involved in the horse program this year. The fair continues Sunday with team sorting and horse speed events, including pole bending and barrel racing.
Also Sunday, the dairy goat show starts at 9 a.m, and will be followed by the dairy cattle show.
