Sheridan County Sheriff on Walking, Riding along Roadways
Sheridan County Sheriff Levi Domingez and Under-sheriff Lt. Doug Sanders, while recent guests on Public Pulse, discussed the featured Statute of the Month, concerning walking or riding along roadways and highways.
Lt. Sanders details the first of the two statutes.
Sanders explains the second statute.
Sheriff Domingez said law enforcement has seen a lot of these issues just this year and wanted to bring the statutes to the public’s attention for their safety.
He said he wants community members to be safe and have fun.

Riding your bike on lower prairie dog rd is extremely hazardous. Because it is a rolling road visibility is limited. So when you crest a hill with a bike and an oncoming vehicle, a serious situation arises. Please stay extreme right or left. Otherwise my choices are three: a) have a head on, b) roll my vehicle or c) hit the bike. No good choices here. Ride with caution.
Additionally, many ranchers will drive their stock on this road.
