Chamber Celebrates Completion of Sheridan’s Mill Park and Little Goose Creek Section 1135 Completion

The Chamber, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Sheridan celebrated the completion of Mill Park and the Little Goose Creek Section 1135 Continuing Authorities Program Project with an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting Thursday, July 10, 2025. This collaborative effort between the City of Sheridan and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, restored vital stream and riparian habitat, improved aquatic connectivity and set the stage for transformational improvements that will enhance recreation, ecological health and community access along Little Goose Creek. The next chapter of creek restoration through downtown Sheridan was also unveiled during the event. Mill Park and the section of Little Goose Creek are located along Dow and Lewis Street in Sheridan.
