In Basketball, there are few things as exciting as that buzzer beater shot to win the game, and for the Class 1A Arvada-Clearmont Panthers, last month not only did the team get a shot to drop, they picked up a win that was at least 4 years overdue.
With the score tied, Caden Manor had nothing to lose.
Losing games was all he ever experienced throughout his entire middle and high school basketball career, before A-C went up against the Campbell County Freshman team on February 11th.
Before that day, the Panthers had not won a game since December of 2020, thus the team was riding a Wyoming Boys High School State Record 90-game losing streak.
Manor describes the final few seconds.
The final score was 35-32.
Arvada-Clearmont finished this season with a record of 1-19.
Incidentally, about 1 week after that 1 win happened, Jackson High School broke and ended the girls state record losing streak, which now stands at 79.
