WY High School 2A State Basketball Tournament: The 2A State Basketball Tournament starts today at Casper College.
Both teams from Big Horn as well as the defending champ Tongue River girls will play against teams they faced at the beginning of the season.
At 4pm the BH girls take on Thermopolis.
Immediately following at 5:30pm, the TR girls go up against Big Piney.
In the nightcap at 8:30pm, the Rams play Wyoming Indian.
Tomorrow’s schedule is dependent on today’s results.
Sheridan HS Basketball: Both Sheridan High School basketball teams will try to punch their tickets into next weekend’s 4A State Tournament today at the 4A East Regional Tournament at Storey Gym in Cheyenne.
The boys will play against Cheyenne South at 4:30pm, and the girls vs. Laramie is right after that.
Both games are win and your team is in the state tournament and there will be games on Friday and Saturday for seeding purposes.
Lose today and the season is over.

WY High School State Indoor Track and Field Meet: There is another state championship event going on this weekend.
Today, tomorrow and Saturday, the Wyoming High School Indoor Track and Field State Meet will take place in Gillette.
The 3A Meet, which includes Big Horn and Tongue River, starts today with field events beginning at 1:30pm, and running events at 2:30.
The meet concludes tomorrow starting at 8:30 and 9am respectively.
Later tomorrow, Sheridan will have their turn in the 4A meet.
Start times are at 2:30 and 3:30pm and Saturday’s start times are at 8:30 and 9am.
On the boys side, the Broncs will not only try to win their 2nd state title in a row, but are also trying to make it 6 of the last 7.
Sheridan Trooper Ethan Evans To Play Baseball At Miles Community College: A left handed pitcher for the Sheridan Troopers, will pitch for the closest college team to the Sheridan area.
Ethan Evans, who is also a senior at Sheridan High School, has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at Miles Community College in Miles City, Montana.
Last year he was an all-conference selection for the Sheridan Jets at the A-Level.
Evans explains what he has to offer to the Pioneers.
Evans adds he plans to major in education and become a history teacher.
University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls won their home and regular season finale last night vs. UNLV 71-66, in a matchup of the top 2 teams in the Mountain West Conference.
The ladies shot 50% from the field and 50% from 3-point land, while the opposition shot 40% and 35% respectively.
Malene Pedersen had arguably the best game of her career scoring 27 points.
Emily Mellema contributed with 17 and Allyson Fertig had a double-double with 16 points and 19 rebounds.
UW concludes the regular season with a record of 20-10 overall, and a 14-4 record in the Mountain West Conference.
The team will have the #2 seed in the Conference tournament, which starts this coming Sunday in Las Vegas.
The Brown and Gold will have a first round bye and will next play on Monday at 6pm, against the winner between Air Force and Utah State.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at home vs. Sacramento 116-110.
The Nuggets next play tomorrow at home vs. Phoenix.
Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won yesterday at San Diego 4-3.
Today is an off day and the Rocks will next play tomorrow at home vs. Texas.
