Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team Preparing For Stretch Run Of 2024-25 Regular Season

The Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team is making preparations for the stretch run of their schedule.
The team was recently bumped to 3rd place in the NA3HL’s Frontier Division, but they have the most number of games remaining on their regular season schedule, which means more opportunities to climb up in the standings.
The Hawks have 10 games remaining, with 4 of them at home.
Sheridan was off last week, and Head Coach J.J. Santagata says the team controls their own destiny in terms of getting a good spot in the playoffs, provided the players can execute the game plan.
“The off week obviously came at a good time. We just got to get healthy, rest and then just fine tuning little things of our game. We just have to be better scoring 5 on 5, scoring on our special teams, killing the penalties. Right now we haven’t scored a power play goal in 3 weeks. We didn’t have a ton of power play opportunities when we played Badlands or Bozeman, hopefully it stays that way. If we play 5 on 5 that’s fine, we just have to find a way to score. It’s not going to be easy this weekend, so defending extremely well is something that we’ve been focusing on a lot and just scoring 5 on 5 as well.”
In the last 4 games, the team is a combined 0-7 on power plays.
Sheridan hosts Great Falls this coming Friday and Saturday.
The puck drops on both nights at 7:30pm.
