Sheridan Girls Basketball: The Sheridan High School girls basketball team lost their first 2 games of the season this past weekend, and the team is trying to talk things over from within.
Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central both reminded the Lady Broncs that it can be a different game when conference time comes around.
Head Coach Ryan Sullivan says the biggest issue right now is communication.
Sheridan is scheduled to play tomorrow at Laramie and on Saturday at Cheyenne South.

Unlike most other sports where teams might play every weekend, it doesn’t always work out that way in the Wyoming Amateur Hockey League, especially with all the various age range teams on the boys side.
Sometimes a team might play 2 weekends in a row, then could have up to 1 month off before playing again.
There’s also the issue of available ice time for practice, and most of the time, teams can only get on the ice a couple of times a week.
McKena Bales is a senior at Big Horn HS and says she knows that’s the nature of the beast, but that hasn’t deterred the Lady Hawks and they have ways to make sure rust doesn’t set in.
Sheridan is scheduled to play tomorrow afternoon and Saturday morning at Jackson, as well as Saturday night and Sunday morning at Pinedale.
University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls won yesterday at Air Force 62-50.
The ladies shot better than 64% from the field and were 5 of 7 on their 3 point tries.
Malene Pedersen led all scorers with 16 points.
Allyson Fertig put in 15 and Emily Mellema contributed with 13.
UW is now 11-8 on the season, with a 5-2 record in the Mountain West Conference.
The ladies host Round 1 of their version of the Border War this Saturday against Colorado State.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost at home last night against Winnipeg 3-2 in overtime.
The opposition only needed 17 seconds of the extra period to win it.
