University of Wyoming Basketball: It was a tale of 2 halves last night, as the Wyoming Cowboys were up 32-18 at halftime and ended up losing at home vs. New Mexico 61-53.
The Lobos started the 2nd half on a 12-zip run, and UW only managed to score 8 points in the final 10 minutes of the game.
The Brown and Gold were 0-for-8 on their 3 point tries in the 2nd half.
Bench scoring led the way as Dontaie Allen scored 11.
Abou Magassa put in 10, as did starter Cole Henry.
Wyoming now has a record of 9-7 on the season, with a 2-3 record in the Mountain West Conference.
The team is off this weekend, and will be back in action next week Tuesday at Boise State.
Meanwhile the Wyoming Cowgirls will be on the road against New Mexico today.

Northern Illinois Football Team To Join Mountain West Conference: The Mountain West Conference has added another team.
Northern Illinois will join as a football only member beginning in 2026.
The Huskies have been a member of the Mid American Conference since 1997 and has won the conference championship 5 times.
NIU got some attention this season as the only team to beat Notre Dame so far, and the team beat Fresno State in the Potato Bowl about 2 weeks ago.
This addition will give the Mountain West Conference 9 teams when all the musical chairs take place at the start of the 2026 season.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost at home last night vs. the defending champ Boston Celtics 118-106.
The Nuggets next play today at home against the LA Clippers.
Tip off is scheduled for 7pm.
