Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns has reported that The Wells Fargo Foundation recently awarded $15,000 in grants to HFHEB to build homes in Sheridan County.

According to a release, HFHEB is one of more than 230 Habitat for Humanity affiliates awarded grant funding nationwide through the 2023 Wells Fargo Builds program to help low to moderate income families access affordable homes.

The grant to HFHEB along with the support of Wells Fargo volunteers will help build a home for the Rauth family at 741 Clark Circle.

“Wells Fargo has been a great partner of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns in the past and it is great to have them on the jobsite once again,” HFHEB Resource and Development Coordinator Dan Alsup said. “We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Wells Fargo through more volunteer opportunities.”

HFHEB reports that on Sept. 23, Wells Fargo volunteers joined the home builders at habitat to help the Rauth family build their future home.

According to HFHEB, at least one in three Wyoming households spend over half of their income on housing and the number of Sheridan County families who are struggling to afford rent is on the rise.

This funding is part of a $7.5 million donation to Habitat for Humanity International through the 2023 Wells Fargo Builds program to build and repair more than 350 affordable homes nationwide.
