Linda Prill

Linda Jane Prill, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Sheridan Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Linda was born May 28, 1941, in Vandalia, Illinois to William Sedrick Durham and Vera Opal (Swagerty) Durham, she was an only child.
Linda married Robert “Bob” LeRoy Prill on August 2, 1959, in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Two sons were born from this union, Robbe Durham Prill and Lawrence Allen Prill.
Linda was part of the Friends of the Library, a member of the Sheridan County Historical Society, and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She proudly served as President of each of these groups.
She loved to laugh and make others laugh, work crossword puzzles and play solitary on the computer, watch Jeopardy (and try to answer the question before the contestant), read the Walt Longmire books by Craig Johnson, drive up to the Big Horns, snow machining, 4-H, traveling to drag races with Bob, and collecting antiques.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Prill, after 59 years together and her parents. She is survived by her sons Robbe (Crista) of Sheridan and Larry of Oregon. She is also survived by her grandson Riley (Angela) of Wisconsin, step-grandchildren, Trebor Schutte of Sheridan, Tiana Rabe (Bill) of Florida, nine great-grandchildren, and her beloved chocolate lab, Mitzi and her many dear friends that she loved.
Linda’s wishes were to be cremated and to have her ashes spread where Bob’s were so they could be together again. There will not be any public services. Friends are more than welcome to stop by Beaver Creek to visit family and share their favorite stories about Linda. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.

Linda was the greatest friend I have ever had. Loving, funny, supportive, non-judgmental and a loyal friend. We had many fun times together. I will cherish those memories forever. I do wonder what will happen to her “Wyoming’s largest peach pit collection”
