Teachers, faculty and staff within the Northern Wyoming Community College will soon have bigger paychecks.
As part of the fiscal year 2023 budget that was approved last week by the Board of Trustees, pay raises were included for anyone in the district, regardless if they work in Sheridan, Buffalo or Gillette.
Of total budgeted expenditures, about 63% is for salaries and benefits.
District President Doctor Walter Tribley explains how much of a raise everyone will get.
“Four percent for all non-teaching personnel, four percent for part time teaching personnel, all full time faculty that are on a salary schedule received two steps, which is roughly equivalent to four percent, a little more typically and then any faculty members that have missed steps in the past were caught up completely.”
Fall semester classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, August 29th.
