Rams / Eagles win Regional Tournament Openers / Junior Hawks Close out the Season This Weekend / Broncs and Lady Broncs Host KW Tonight

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks are back on the home ice hosting the Butte Cobras tonight and tomorrow.

A year after the team made it all the way to the national tournament semi finals the Hawks have struggled through several issues this season and Head coach Chad Bailey says that this season has been a tough one to get through.

And he gave a lot of credit to the remaining players for sticking it out.

After games this weekend it’s time to move on and start planning for next season.

This weekend is family and fan appreciation weekend the team has some special auction items that will be featured at the games.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams close out the regular season tonight hosting Casper Kelly Walsh game times are 5:30 and 7:00 and you can hear the action live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

1-A / 2-A REGIONAL BASKETBALL – The Big Horn, Tongue River and Arvada / Clearmont basketball teams opened regional tournament play Thursday.

The Rams beat Glenrock 60-29 they play Pine Bluffs tonight the Lady Rams lost against Moorcroft 52-23 they play a loser out game with Tongue River today.

The Eagles beat Moorcroft 71-36 they play Wright tonight the Lady Eagles lost against Glenrock 30-28 they play Big Horn.

The Arvada / Clearmont Lady Panthers lost against Lingle / Fort Laramie 49-21 they play a loser out game today with Hanna-Elk Mountain.

WRESTLING – The Sheridan Broncs and Tongue River Eagles open the state wrestling tournament in Casper today.

UW BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys play at home game tomorrow night against Nevada at 6:00 you can hear it live on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Cowgirls beat UNLV 77-73 Thursday night they host San Diego state tomorrow afternoon.

INDOOR TRACK – The Sheridan high school indoor track teams will be the hosts for a meet in Gillette today.
