HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS – The Big Horn Rams football season ended at at Lyman Friday in a quarterfinal playoff game, Sheridan Media’s Kevin Koile has the wrap up.
The Sheridan Broncs whipped Cheyenne Central 48-14 to advance into this week’s semi finals they host Natrona county Friday.
The Broncs set the tone in the first few seconds of the game as Carter McComb returned the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and they were off and running, here’s Broncs O-Line coach Kevin Riser.
The Broncs have been tough running the ball all season and Riser says his guys up front have done a nice job of getting better every game.
And now they move on to the semi final against NC and it’s more of the same for the players this week.
COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming football Cowboys lost 27-21 at San Jose state the Pokes will try an end a four game losing streak this week hosting Colorado state Saturday afternoon.
VOLLEYBALL – The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball season ended with a loss Saturday at their regional tournament, the Big Horn Lady Rams and Tongue River Lady Eagles made it out of regional play and will open the state tournament Thursday in Casper.
The Lady Rams open the state tournament Thursday afternoon at 3:00 against Shoshoni while the Lady Eagles take on Riverside Thursday night at 7:30.
JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks split two games in Cody over the weekend the Hawks took the opener 2-1 and dropped Saturday’s match up 7-4 they play two on the road at Great Falls this weekend.
