Bronc / Lady Bronc Hoops Prep for State / Cowgirls Upset UNLV in the MWC Tournament

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Sheridan high school basketball teams will open up the state tournament in Casper Friday the Lady Broncs take on number one seed Natrona county in the first round.

The Lady Broncs lost their only meeting of the season with Natrona county back on January 15th the Fillies beat the Lady Broncs 48-41 Head coach Ryan Sullivan says they watch film on NC and formulate a game plan for Friday’s opener.

The Broncs open the state tournament Friday afternoon against Riverton they beat the Wolverines in one regular season match up in Sheridan but that was back on December 12th.

One big difference in the state tournament format this year is the possibility of playing two games the first day, they did it last week in Gillette and Head coach Jeff Martini says they will just have to find a way to be ready for that second game.

We will have both games live for you Friday on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM the Lady Broncs play Natrona county at the Events center at 10:30 the Broncs face Riverton at 1:30 at Casper college.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowgirls whipped two seed UNLV 72-56 Monday night to advance to the MWC tournament semi finals tonight they take on Boise state the game will tip at 9:30.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys open the men’s Mountain west tournament tomorrow afternoon against San Jose state the game will start at noon on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

JUNIOR HAWKS – The Sheridan Junior Hawks extended their winning streak to 32 games straight over the weekend this week they are back on the home ice against Missoula, Montana.
