Bronc Senior Justin Vela Signs to Play College Ball / Wyoming Cowboys Host Boise State Tonight

BRONC FOOTBALL – Another member of the 2020 Sheridan Bronc football team has signed to play football at Dickinson state in North Dakota. Justin “Big Red” Vela signed this week to become a Blue Hawk joining teammate Kyle Meinecke who signed back in December.

Broncs Head coach Jeff Mowry says Vela has been part of the Bronc football family since his elementary school years.

And he says having a winning program has also helped develop relationships with college programs that are more willing to look at Sheridan high school players.

And finally today Mowry says the COVID pandemic has been tough on college athletic recruiting and the class of 2021 has a lot to overcome to get to the next level.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams host Natrona county Friday night the girls game will tip off at 5:30 the boys game will follow and we will broadcast both games on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

RAMS / EAGLES HOOPS – The Big Horn basketball teams play at Tongue River Saturday the Tongue River teams host two games this week Friday it’s the Wright Panthers and Saturday they host Big Horn.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers will compete in the Green River Duals Friday and Saturday

SWIMMING / DIVING – The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers will be in Cheyenne Friday and Laramie Saturday.

INDOOR TRACK – The Sheridan high school indoor track teams open the season Saturday with a meet in Gillette.

JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks host Great Falls Friday and Saturday night.

UW HOOPS – The Wyoming Cowboys will play the Boise tonight at the Double”AA” tip off is at 7:00 live on KWYO and 106.9 FM the Cowgirls play in Boise again today.
